Renouncing “Spiritual” Lessons

Renouncing “Spiritual” Lessons

There is a narrative in the spiritualist and occult world which suggests that we as Spirit Beings experience the sorrows of life in order to learn lessons.

Some argue that the lesson is of Karma, and that we are only experiencing the fruits of past actions. Learning that lesson, we can more and more see the righteous path, or perhaps even chose the middle path and emancipate ourselves; all dependent upon our capacity for auspicious action.

Others believe that we chose our life experiences by contract prior to birth, and that we are only experiencing what our higher selves have decided to endure. Seeing that perspective, we can eliminate our resistance to the events that unfold in our lives, and free ourselves from suffering.

I suggest a third alternative and a more immediate route…

We can willfully, instantly and permanently renounce all spiritual lessons from the past, present and the future. We can then see that there are no lessons to learn or middle path to follow and that people made these things up in order to deal with something beyond their comprehension while keeping a society of primates intact.
